Try priceline. Go to biddingfortravel.com and check out how it works. I stayed at the Westin Grand Bohemian in January for 149.00 a night and the hotel was asking 349.00 a night. That is a really beautiful hotel in downtown Orlando, not near any of the disney stuff if that is what you are looking for. We took a bus from downtown to sea world and a tour of the space center while we stayed there.

July is Orlando is hell - way too hot IMHO to enjoy much of anything.

You don;t mention what hotels you're looking at - or what your plans for the trip are. Theme parks? Relaxing at the pool? Are you looking for a resort or just a hotel? Those prices sound incredibly high for July - which is not high season!

Just had a thought - are you asking about air fare? (When you say rates everyone will asume you mean hotels - please clarify.)

yea, I mean plane tickets. my fiance's grandma got us a time share for a week in a condo. right now we don't know what we'll be doing in orlando. we are just looking at tickets.
