Organic food stores in Murray Hill neighborhood?

Jump to last reply

I'll be in NYC for about 8 days, staying near 34th/3rd. I won't be cooking much of anything, but would love to pick up stuff like milk, yogurt, fruits, granola bars etc. I believe I won't have problem finding these food items from the usual supermarket chains, but does any of you know of food markets that sell only organic foods? Or better yet, markets that also have organic take-out sandwiches and salads etc? [Preferably within a 5 block radius.]

If not, which one of the supermarket chains have better organic selections? I know the usual suspects: Gristedes and D'agostino, but both are somewhat depressing-looking. :(
