Oregon, Washington, Canada
Looking for ideas, suggestions on a trip from Nevada to Oregon then Washington and Canada. No time limit, retired couple. Looking for sites, must see areas, off the beaten track. Thinking late November. Thanks

Late November in western Oregon and Washington probably means rain, rain, and occasionally more rain. It's really not the ideal time to visit if you want to be outdoors. Plus, by then the days will be getting pretty short.
Otherwise, for Oregon, I would say: Crater Lake, Silver Falls National Park, Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood, and the Oregon Coast. (And Portland, where I live, but how much time you'd want to spend here depends on how much you like city stuff.) |
Not quite sure why you started a second thread . . . Nov/Dec is still not the best time to be off the beaten path
>>Otherwise, for Oregon, I would say: Crater Lake<< By late Nov/Early Dec most access will be limited by snow . . . |
Late November would not be my pick for the area you want to see. Since you are retired, can't you wait and come in the spring, summer, or fall instead?

Late September/Early October would be a good time for Oregon. Have you considered moving your plans forward?
