And beware of the banana slugs! Yes, the hike is nice from Ecola State Park to Indian Beach. We've done this one many times, even with small children in tow. :D

I also enjoy the Cape Lookout hike. The scenery is gorgeous in this area. Pandhandle, have you been on the dinner ride with the Hellgate Excursions, how is the food, good? ***kim*** ((r))

Yachats is my favorite place. Quaint, small and I just like the feel of the town

Yes Kim we have done the dinner ride and the food is ok...I would personally save my money and eat elsewhere next time though. If they still have dinner at the same place (it was Cougar Lane Resort when we went a couple years ago) The area by the resort is called Agness...it is between Gold Beach and Grants Pass and is a great place to visit if you like hiking and great swimming holes. I would recommend swimming in the Illinois River over the Rogue(they fork together at Agness) as it is much cleaner and the water is crystal clear. There are several lodges in the Agness area as well as vacation rentals.
