Also if you want to drive on Rte. 30, the Historic Columbia River Scenic Highway, you need a permit for that as well. www[dot]oregon[dot]gov/odot/waterfall-corridor-permits/pages/default.aspx It sounds ridiculous, but this is to limit traffic and make things safer.
