oregon coast. hotel/restaurant questions...

we will be staying in cannon beach, newport, either yachats or florence, and brookings. especially interested in basic, clean hotels/motels possibly $100/nt or less. if you can recommend any it would be helpful. also (but less important), if you know of any non-pricey restaurants in these towns, please let us know. we are vegetarians, which means we eat everything except red meat, chicken, and fish..........

when are you traveling? if in the next month or two, it's going to be tough to find something in cannon beach in that price range. a couple places that may be in the 125-150 range, try cannon beach hotel or ecola creek lodge.

are you staying in both newport and yachats or florence? curious why if so as they are close to each other.

i've seen the fireside--i think that's the name--recommended in yachats--it's the sister property to the overleaf which is wonderful.

If you replace Cannon Beach with Seaside, Newport with Lincoln City, and choose Florence instead of Yachats, you'll have a better chance of staying within your budget. Sorry, I can't help with specific hotel/motel names.

In Seaside where I am,check out Sandy Cove, Microtel, Motel 6 or Lanai @ the Cove. These hotels are in a very pretty area of Seaside by Ave U. ***kim*** ((#))

I hope you like it! It was a beautiful day here today, we had a picnic at Ave U before going to Manzanita. Good restaurants in the area: Taste of Tuscany, Guadalajara Taco Shop, Yummy Wine Bar, Norma's Ocean Diner, Maggie's on the Prom and Pacific Way Bakery & Cafe in nearby Gearhart. The Sandtrap is also very good, we just had lunch there, love their Salmon on Foccacia! ***kim*** ((#))

We enjoyed a very nice dinner last night in Cannon Beach at Irish Table, it was very, very good! They don't take reservations for parties under 6, we ate outside. The Seafood Chowder, Heirloom Tomato Salad, Curried Mussels, King Salmon with Fingerling Potatoes and Chocolate Pot de Creme were all excellent. Highly recommend! ***kim*** ((#))
