ORD, DEN or DFW for connecting flight?

If having to make a connection in early November, which of these 3 locations would be the best as far as not having delays due to weather (or I guess even just delays in general)? Chicago, Denver or Dallas?
Also, if you were leaving from Washington DC, which airport is better (again- as far as delays etc)- Dulles or Regan? Thanks.

While early November is not as likely to have snow delays, when I fly in the winter I try to avoid connections in northern cities.

You can check airline sites and see on-time percentage for your various flights. As far as Washington - snow in early November is even more rare, and when it snows an inch the entire city has one massive panic attack - so I am not sure it really matters which airport there.

Don't know where you are going or exactly where you are leaving from. I would leave from Dulles and connect through Denver.

I would say Dallas

I would say Dallas, too, as far as possible weather delays that time of year. However, DFW is just as crowded and ill laid out as the other two airports, IMO.

Agree with Dallas.

Agree on Dallas in November vesus O’Hare and Denver.

For DC, it is MUCH easier to get to Reagan than Dulles. You can take the Metro to Regan, or get a cab from downtown DC and be there is less than half an hour. Traffic going out to Dulles can really be awful, esp at rush hours which are between 7 -9:30 and 3 - 7 pm. It took me 2 hours in June to get to Bethesda from Dulles. I would go out of Regan given a choice.

The two factors to account for are weather and the airline you are flying. From your list of cities, I'm guessing you are flying United or American. I agrre in general with the "avoid northern cities in the winter" approach, but in November you are probably safe anywhere.

I live in the DC area and use Dulles only when I absolutely have to do so. I much prefer National (it will never be Reagan to me). For the connection, I think Dnver is the best, followed by Dallas and then O'Hare.
