Orchard Hotel - SF

Has anyone stayed at this small hotel? The rates/website are great but would love to hear from someone firsthand who has stayed there.

This is a fantastic hotel! I booked two rooms for my family of five. It's right in the heart of the city, friendly staff, sophisticated atmosphere, upscale restaurant, very nice rooms with goose down comforters,DVD players, and nice finishes. Don't let the exterior facade fool you. This is one of the best!

My BIL (who is a major boutique hotel fan) has stayed there 3 times in the last six months. He loves it. That's not first hand experience but hope it helps.

Also, something smells a bit fishy here.
The Burlington poster never existed before today but is all over the board warning people away from SF and Union Square because of the homeless people. But he/she quotes the identical urls as yesterday's brand new anti Union Square poster named Tompson.

obxgirl: I noticed the same thing. Not only has Burlington been trashing SF, he has also mentioned San Jose several times. I suspect he/she is another reincarnation of the San Jose chamber of commerce on Fodors.

ramona: Don't let Burlington's post disuade you. I have not stayed at the Orchard but co-workers have and they loved it.

Thanks, Janis. I'd forgotten about that poster. I think Burlington has now morphed into Calperson.

Do the editors on this forum notice this sort of thing or do they not care as long as it's travel related?

I appreciate all the feedback. My other choice was the Palomar - any comments on this hotel??

Calperson, For the record, Janis never said you and Burlington were the same person. I did. And for that egregious, I apologize.
