oops meant to post "site 59" instead of just "site"
anyway ? has anyone used this site and what was your experience? |
Ite59 = travelocity.com
Do a search just above for site59 (make sure it's one word) you will get all the answers you need. |
I love site59
It is owned by the same company as Travelocity but is a different business model. It specializes in last minute travel... |
If you go to this page on travelocity.com:
http://travelocity.lmdeals.com/?Service=TRAVELOCITY you can search exactly the same thing you can on site59.com and get the EXACT same results. |
Interesting- thanks for the info

AAfrequent flyer- are there other last minutes sites you have used - or should I just stick with this one?

As you probably can guess I fly AA/OneWorld exclusively so I do check AA weekend deals. I believe the "special" fares come out on Tuesday mornings for the upcoming and following weekends. AA's last minute deals are for long weekends only, Thur/Fri-Mon/Tue or something similar. Sometimes (rarely) I will find a destination that may be of interest to me that also has a decent fare.
I'm sure all the other domestic airlines have the same set-up. Other than that, I've used Site59 last year and got an unbelievable deal to London in late August. To this day I believe it was some kind of a mistake. The flight and 2 nights at a Holiday Inn total? = ~$425 for a single traveler. I bought it on Thursday and Friday I was flying on AA(full mileage, upgraded to business with my certs) :-D to London. Never found anything even close to the above deal. The site is very reputable and you will get what you pay for. |
We used site 59 for a visit to SF. We stayed at the Mark Hopkins and then had lunch at Kuleto's. It was all included in the deal. We got a great room and service and kuleto's was great. I really liked the experience I had with site 59.
