Online event listings -NYC/Boston

I will be in NYC and Boston for 10 days in mid-March.I cannot find any online sites to find out what bands are playing or shows are on(apart from Broadway shows)one month ahead.
Any ideas?

Hi Sean,
Try citysearch.com. They used to be Time Out.com. They have a pretty comprehensive listing on just about everything going on in the city. Not sure how far in advance they list items though.

Actually, try both citysearch.com and timeout.com. Citysearch used to be Sidewalk. Also try nytoday.com.

Thanks for all your help-unfortunately none of these sites has any gig guide more than one week ahead-there may be a gap in the market!

Actually, Sean, if you go to boston.citysearch.com and click on Performing Arts Events under the Arts section on the left of the page, you will get a comprehensive listing of all upcoming shows, including for March. Ticketmaster.com also has advance listings for shows, so I'm not really sure what problems you are having.
