One way car rental
 

Help! Looked into a 12 day car rental from SFO, returning it at SAN. Wow!! We do this every year (Rent one place and drop off at another and we have never paid this kind of rate before. Does anyone know of a way to get around these prices?

try not to rent at the airport. find a local place to rent your car. may be worth the taxi fare to a local rental car place.

How about at the other end! Will they charge more i I drop it off at the airport?

A difference of $460.00. Doubt if the cab fare will exceed that. I cannot believe that.

I just logged onto hertz and chose San Francisco Ca as
my city and a dozen locations showed up. I chose one of the HLE sites(Hertz Local Edition) and set up the pick up there. I did not change my drop off at San Diego airport. The difference seemed to be the taxes and fees as well as the rate for airport pickup.Hope you find the same thing. Let me know because I can't quite believe there was such a difference in price. If you find the same thing then I will know that the quote I got was correct. Good luck!
