One Night Out In Las Vegas
We're two couples in our late thirties to early fourties and we have one night out in Vegas away from the kids during a family vacation of the Southwest. We have no pre-concieved plans of what to do. "O" at the Bellagio is dark on this particular night (a Tuesday in late July). Are there any great music/dance clubs not to miss or should we do a show ie. Blue Man Group or Mystere? How about a great (but not break-the-bank expensive)resaurant that someone could reccomend. Thanks.

A nice restaurant is the Top of the World at the Stratosphere. It's a revolving restaurant with greats views of the city.

I dont know about the shows but the Rio hotel, away frm the stip, has a great bar/club & I love that hotel. They have some acts going on there, dont forget the Venetian for a gondola ride.

Oh this is an easy one...the best night of the week to go to Studio 54 at MGM...you'll love it.

With no kids in tow I would casino hop. Hit three, maybe four major showplaces in one evening by cab or self park.

The locals tell me that Mystere is better than "O" anyhow. However, the last time we were there, in April, we opted for Siegfried and Roy at the Mirage instead. We had already seen Dralion and Alegria. Siegfried and Roy is an entirely different kind of show than Cirque du Soleil. We loved Cirque du Soleil, but the amazing illusion that Siegfried and Roy perform is awesome.

The Dueling Pianos Lounge is always fun...there's one at NYNY and one at Harrah's (I think). The Grand Luxe Cafe in the Venetian is very good...Rum Jungle in Mandalay Bay has good food and maybe no-cover charge if you dine there.

If you like comedy shows, than the Comedy Stop at the Tropicana is a must. Also, "Legends in Concert" isn't all that bad for the money
