One Night in Kennebunkport?
I am looking for a nice place to stay with my family, for one night only, in Kennebunkport in late June.

Much of what I've seen so far is just too pricey - we're traveling with kids on a modest budget. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks for your time.

On a budget stay in Kennebunk rather than Kennebunkport, or maybe in nearby Wells.

Gallery Motel has a two bedroom cottage I believe, and a playground with basketball etc. 207-9854543

Another place with larger units and a playground is The Lodge at Kennebunk.
www.lodgeatkennebunk.com
I think you may have to switch to Kennebunk to find something. Maybe other readers have some details or specific recommendations...

Wells is a short distance from Kennebunkport and has lots of reasonably priced motels and cottages. Check the Maine Innkeepers Association website at maineinns.com as you will find many places listed there and links to individual property websites where you can view rooms, get prices, and even make reservations.

We stayed at the Rhumb Line Motor Lodge. It was fine. Turns out when G Bush Senior was President it was totally taken over by the Secret Service when he was there. It's a short drive to everything and you can easily drive past the Bush "compound" --lifelong Democrat but still enjoyed seeing it and I loved seeing K'Port.
