One full day in Phoenix - what to do?
 

Hi,

We will be in Phoenix (arriving from Sedona to take flight to NY) in June and would like to hear suggestions on how to better one full day in that city.

It would be hard to improve on Abram's suggestions!

Those are fine suggestions if they meet your interests. I have never been to the botanical gardens in the 46 yrs I have lived in the phx area, have been to the Heard once and Taliesin twice. Any specific interests?

Heard Museum has the advantage of being indoors when it may be very hot outdoors. Taliesen and the Botanical Garden are both outdoors. The Phoenix Art Museum is near the Heard. Downtown there is a cluster of interesting museums, if art and Indian art and culture are not your thing--a Science Museum, a History Museum and an interesting old house, not to mention BOB the baseball stadium which has tours, I believe.

There's a great night tour of Taliesin West during the summer. I think it's on Friday nights. I went during the day that Wed. and then back on Friday night. It was magical at night!
