One day to spend near Hershey, PA - suggestions needed.
I will have two half days in Lebanon, NH (which I am told is about 10 miles from Hershey, PA) . I will be alone and just need to kill some time before flying out again. Suggestions for what to do? I am an active 60 yr old -- not into amusement parks, etc.
How about the Hershey chocolate....tour, museum, park??
What are the best things to tour in Hershey?
About how long would it take to see all the "chocolate stuff"?
Anything other than chocolate in the area?
Any information is helpful. Thank you.

Probably more of a drive than you'd be interested in, but here's where I'd go -

You'd need a lot of time to kill though

Ooooops! Really bad information from my travel planner. She told me that she had done this run before and that the two were only 10 miles apart. Although my US geography is a bit fuzzy, it didn't sound right as soon as I posted here. Pulled out my trust atlas and you are right someone needs a geography lesson. At least I found out before getting on a 5:30AM flight to fly to Lebanon and being disappointed to find no chocolate awaiting me
Thanks for the reality check.

Assuming you really are close to Hershey, PA (since there is a Lebanon PA), I would suggest Lancaster County - Amish country. http://www.padutchcountry.com/
I love to just drive around that area, but there's some good shopping too - from outlets to handmade quilts, plus I also enjoyed visiting a museum on Amish life - it was actually a house, but I can't remember the name of it..
If you don't like amusement parks, I'd skip the Chocolate part of Hershey Park. It doesn't take long to see and I wasn't particularly impressed.

Thanks all. I made her DOUBLE/TRIPLE check that she's sending me to the right place and I will check the tickets when itinerary arrives as added precaution. I'm actually flying in and out of Manchester, NH so I think that should end the confusion
