I have to make travel arrangements for a group of musicians. If they had an afternoon in Rockford, IL, what one activity should they NOT miss? Also, what about restaurants? Thanks!

What age are they (kids/teens/adults) and what time of year are you going?

Jump on a VanGelder bus and go north one hour to downtown Madison...hang on campus, by the lake, State Street, etc.

Seriously! I am responsible for suggesting places to see, etc. for a group of professional classical musicians (traveling in April).

Whistle - Please don't let the "nay-sayers" get to you. I would venture that most of them have never been to Rockford and are sterotyping this wonderful city without having visited it. Some suggestions depending on the likes of your group are: The Anderson Japanese Gardens (beautiful), The Burpee Museum of Natural History, See what events are going on at the MetroCentre, or tour and take in a event at the Historic Coronado Theatre. Restaurants abound..Cliffdwellers, The Machine Company, Thunderbay Grill and many others. Enjoy your stay!

What have these particular musicians done wrong so as to deserve this particular tour schedule!!
