One day in Honolulu...what to do?

We will have one day in Honolulu from 8am-11pm...what are the MUST DOs or MUST SEEs??
We will not have a car and will be coming in on the Island Princess so we need suggestions of things to do that are easy to get to. Where to find a good meal? Best shopping?

You're in luck with your Honolulu stop -- lots to see and do within walking distance of the harbor. Don't grab a cab (pricey!), but you might want to hop on one of the trolleys (prices and routes vary), or The Bus.

With only one day on Oahu, I would opt for the USS Arizona memorial.

Mike, what kind of stuff interests you? historical, cultural, shopping, outdoors, etc? You can do a lot between 8-11 but how much depends on what you want to do.

Go directly to the Pearl Harbor tour from 8:30 am to about noon... follow that up with a trip to Waikiki for a 1 hour surf lesson at the shack on the beach in front of Duke's...follow that with a easy lunch at Duke's followed by shopping along the beach at the hundreds of stores... then check with the locals to see who might have a free native Polynesian show... we saw the one at Hilton Hawaiian Village and the free show was spectacular and followed by fireworks (every Friday night).

Then its back to the boat!!!
