One Adult Dinner Out at WDW?
 

We will be two couples traveling to WDW in June; we are planning one dinner out without our children and would love some suggestions; realize that reservations may be tough to get, but we would love to hear your favorites--all cuisines are great. We are either staying at the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian, but happy to go anywhere (if it is reasonable to travel around).

This will be our first visit.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary with a family dinner at The California Grill--if you time it right, you get a grand look at the Magic Kingdom fireworks! We have three chefs in our family and they all agreed the food was great! We started with the "regular" wine list, but our waiter quickly brought out the "divine" list--it was a "magical" night!

The dining section at www.allearsnet.com has menus, prices, and information.

Agree with the suggestion about The California Grill. Not only should you try to time the reservation just before the Magic Kingdom fireworks show, specifically ask for a window table.

A very close second choice would be Artist Point <http://tinyurl.com/8nc5x> at the Wilderness Lodge.

The waterside restaurant at Grand Floridian, Narcoosie has a great cross the lake view of the Magic Kingdom. You can see the nightly fireworks across the pond. The electric light boat parade goes past as well. Food is very reliable.

Artists Point at the Wilderness Lodge, is one of Disney's finest as well.

Although you need a car or to take Disney transit to the formal restaurant at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, they have a super view of the Safari ground, creative African dishes, and a wonderful SA wine list.

You can't make a bad decision from this list or the California Grill.

The above suggestions are good but if budget is of no (or little) concern you should consider Victoria and Alberts at the Grand Floridian. They serve a "prix fixed" menu that is absolutely world class and would most definitely be a memorable experience. You can get it with or without wine pairings. Whether you choose this place or any of the others listed you should make reservations as far in advance as you can. They are all very popular destinations.

One other dining question for you all: we were going to go over to the Boardwork one night--do you have a favorite restaurant there--this time we'll have children with us (they are 5, 7 and 8).

I assume you meant "Boardwalk" which is adjacent to Epcot? There are many good restaurants there. We like Spoodles but there area also an ESPN club, Flying Fish, and Big River Grill at the Boardwalk. All are very kid friendly. You can look at menus at

After you eat at The Boardwalk consider having ice cream for dessert but NOT at The Boardwalk ice cream parlor (which is good) but rather take the boat across to the Yacht and Beach and have the ice cream at Beaches and Cream.
