Omni Orlando Resort Champions Gate

Hello, I haven't done enough research on Trip Advisor or Yelp or other places. There is a fun event taking place at the end of June at the Omni Resort Champions Gate in Orlando. I am just wondering if you think it is doable to go there and to tag on a visit to DisneyWorld or Legoland Florida or Universal. We would be flying from Seattle: 2 adults and one 8 year old boy.

I have been to Florida in June and remember it being very hot and muggy. The event is June 26-28th. I would like to add a few more days since we are traveling such a long way.

What would you recommend?

I don't think I understand the question. You're going to be a couple of miles from Disney, and you want to know if it's "doable" to visit Disney? Can you describe what you consider to be the obstacles to doing that?

Depends on how long you are there and if you have any free time. All those places are absolutely doable if you have the time to do them.

If your concern is the weather - yes, June is FL is generally hot and muggy, although not as bad as misummer. Don;t assume the weather when you were there is an abberation. Check the average weather online.

I am sorry I wasn't clear. What I was wondering is if we will be too far from Disney World if we stay at Omni Orlando Champion Gate the entire time. Or, whether we should switch hotels and get one closer to Disney World, once our event is over. I was quite tipsy when I wrote the original post.

Championsgate is only about 5 miles south of DW on I-4. It would be up to you to decide if packing up and moving closer would be worth it. About the only way I would do that is to stay at an onsite Disney hotel or a Universal hotel.

Thank you for your reassurance. I understand it better now.
