Olympia National Park
 

Looking to fly in to Seattle, and would like to go to Olympia. Anyone been there? Read the park site, need suggestions on accommodations - have 7 days - don't want to move around too much. What animals did you see where?

If you mean the Olympic Peninsula and national park the best bases for various parts of the park Port Angeles and Forks.
Wildlife, deer are sort of common, saw a black bear once, various small mammals and, in coastal areas whales if you are there at the right time of the year.
For lodging Port Angles has the biggest selection ranging from deluxw B&B'such as Collette's to the Super 8 level.

I passed through Olympic National Park on the way to Montana - didn't manage to see any wildlife but it was one of the most beautiful places I have visited, the landscape itself is breathtaking.

Like boom_boom said, Port Angeles would probably be your best bet. I'm a massive Twilight fan (I know, I should know better, so it was great to see one of the locations in person).

As sugested Forks and Port Angeles are the best bases. I have seen bears at least a dozen times, but mostly in the backcountry which means longer hikes and backpacking. Also mountain lion in the Park and I did see a bobcat once. Best time to see wildlife is very early in the morning or at dusk. I see elk all the time on the Hoh River.
