Older Parent Trip

Is Dallas/Ft. Worth smart destination for trip w/older parents who cannot do much walking? Or would Houston be better?

Jeanette
Where are you coming from and what is the purpose of your trip? Is it to do something with your parents? What are their interests? If it is a trip for your parents, I would find a place that has what they are interested in. If they can not do much walking, maybe a seashore location with a seashore view so that they can sit on the porch and look at the ocean and birds and just be peaceful

Jeanette, I wouldn't recommend either Dallas or Houston. CD has the right idea, maybe they'd like to go somewhere with beautiful views, warm weather and great food. Actually, that sound enticing for ANY age!

Continuing on in the same "avoid the big cities" idea, Rockport might be really good idea. It is warm, pretty, has lots of birds, boat trips, and good seafood.

Jeanette:

I haven't been to Texas but have made the doctor I work for some reservations to San Antonio, TX. That place looks like a good walking town. Maybe others who have been there could comment. I heard through grapevine that Dallas isn't to great to get around in.
