Gerry, there's no need to SHOUT. Get some new batteries for the hearing aid.
|
Gerry, sorry i cant recommend anywhere, but im only 30 and know what youre talking about.I dont consider you and your group "older" at all, its just the under 30 group that you sometimes can't tell if they just turned 21 or if their 29 and haven't grown up yet.

GERRY: Why are you using other peoples names and e-mail to respond to them? Am I missing something? Duh.
sorry i just had to respond to "bev". as soon as i read your comment of gerry shouting i thought i'd put a note in defence of gerry. he wasn't "shouting" at all. I knew right away he had his caps lock on!. hes only asking for some suggestions! you need to get a life!! to gerry , sorry wish i could help, im from van, canada, never been to dc or baltimore, but i would ask the same question for here as im in that age category. Good luck and hope you have a good trip and find a suitable fun place!

Gerry,
Try the Baltimore Brewing Company, (near the Shot Tower and Little Italy). It's a great brew pub. Try Babalu's at the Power Plant Live! That's a cool Latin/Cuban bar/restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating; Also go up to the Belvedere Hotel (off of Charles) and try out the Owl Bar, or the 13th Floor. The view of Baltimore from the 13th Floor is incredible. You'll have to ask the hotel folks for directions. I just know how to get there, but I'm lousy with street names.

The crowd that hangs out at ESPN Zone is alittle older. Mostly because its not cheap. But really fun and the food is decent too. So fun to play all the games.
There is a piano bar called Explorer's Lounge in the Harbor Court Hotel.
It has a cigar lounge and is a trendy place to be.
Also try the 2 breweries Capital City Brewing company 301 S. Light Street, Light Street Pavilion, they have good food and pool tables. Great view as well. Also the Baltimore breweing company is good too.
The 13th Floor/Club 13, 1 E. Chase Street is a really great place for all ages.
Hope this helped, with Bars in the Inner Harbor.
If you have any more questions...post em'
There's an Irish bar just across the street from Union Station in D.C. Also Clyde's in Georgetown is a bit more upscale.

stella & juli ------thanks your suggestions on places in Baltimore

I believe there is a bar right near the Belvedere called the Art Bar which I recall would be worth checking out. As for Belvdere-There is usually a band playing and they have a small dance floor. There is a cover charge.

I think Shannon may be refering to "The Brewer's Art". It's an upscale brew/restaurant/bar on Charles. It is around the corner from the Belvedere. It's also a very nice place to go. They have great food, a good bar, a lounge room with a fireplace, and a real funky bar/lounge downstairs. Enjoy.
