Old Town Area Hotels

Can anyone suggest a hotel in the Old Town area that is nice and reasonably priced? Two adults in March for 3 nights. Thanks!

MikeT Dec 16th, 2004 06:02 PM

What Old Town?

janis Dec 16th, 2004 10:56 PM

ttt

tdmort: do you have ANY idea how many "old towns" there are in the USA? Give us a hint where you are asking about.

You win first prize, tdmort.

Duh...

If you mean Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, try the Holiday Inn Select on King Street or the Best Western Old Colony Inn. Also be aware that the first weekend in March Alexandria usually throws their big St. Patricks Day party, so that might affect room availability if you are looking to stay in Old Town.

Try the Old Town Inn in Old Town...that is if you're talking about San Diego (or maybe 50 other cities that has an Old Town Inn in Old Town).

I believe you mean Old Town Scottsdale?
Check out the trendy boutique-style ~James Hotel~ formally the Doubletree.

You must mean Old Town Key West. It's not particularly reasonable, but the Hyatt on Front Street is very nice.

Most hotels in Old Town are old. I'd suggest you stay in New Town and get a new hotel.

Alisa Dec 18th, 2004 10:27 AM

Old Town Sacramento?

janis Dec 18th, 2004 10:41 AM

Alisa: I was going to ask that too - but thought about it and -- nah :-)

Budman Dec 18th, 2004 10:49 AM

Isn't it strange that after a day & 1/2, the original poster has not come back on to clarify?

tdmort -- where are you? ((b))

Patrick Dec 18th, 2004 11:06 AM

tdmort's probably lost in lulu town.

ronkala Dec 18th, 2004 11:33 AM

guess mama Mort went to Springfield with her son.

rb_travelerxATyahoo Dec 18th, 2004 11:43 AM

Springfield Missouri, Illinois, Massachussetts, or .....?

Don't stay in Old Town Albuquerque, the few hotels are old (as Patrick advises), stay at the edge of town.

diann Dec 18th, 2004 01:07 PM

I think poster means Old town in San Diego. That is my hunch. We stayed there last March at the Best Western. It is clean, nice grounds, and old town is a touristy but a great place to walk around. Now the suspense is killing me, which Old Town is it trmort? Will you ever come back and tell us??

rb_travelerxATyahoo Dec 18th, 2004 04:18 PM

tdmort has posted in a number of Orlando threads ... but others as well (is there an Old Town Detroit?) but I guess s/he wants us to continue our mind-reading, or enjoys our wise-cracks.

tdmort Dec 19th, 2004 01:50 PM

Thank you all for your responses! I didn't realize how many old town's there are! I'm talking about Old Town in Scottsdale AZ! Sorry!!!

tdmort Dec 19th, 2004 01:52 PM

And yes, rb...I did enjoy all the
wise-cracks! :)
