Old Louisville Bed & Breakfasts

My parents 40th wedding anniversary is coming up in Sept. I would like to send them to a B&B for the weekend. Old Louisville looks pretty nice. Which B&B is the nicest?

Sam,<BR> All the old Victorian mansions down on 3rd St/Central Park area are convenient to downtown, riverfront, Churchill Downs Museum, Speed Museum, etc. They are gorgeous, and they will enjoy walking around the park there looking at the wonderful architecture. One other nice B&B is the Inn at Woodhaven which is in east louisville close to our 2 main malls.I've had friends stay at Inn at the Park and they loved it! They especially liked the carriage house/whirlpool suites. These websites are easily found online and by using the bbonline link. Here's a link to a review site by local author Dan Dry that you may want to peruse.http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUrl-g..._Kentucky.html If this is your real email, I'll send you mine in case you need other Louisville area suggestions. BTW- Sept is usually warm and nice here.

I used to live in Louisville and a few months ago I had to plan and host a bridal shower there. My idea was to rent out a victorian B&B for afternoon tea. After visiting several, I found Inn on the Park, Old Louisville Inn and Fleur de Lis to be the nicest in Old Louisville. Inn at Woodhaven is also very nice but is out in St. Matthews, part of the charm of Old Louisville is being able to walk up and down the streets and look at all the old victorian homes, Inn at Woodhaven doesn't have the same atmoshpere.

I used to live in Louisville. My husband and I visit several times a year and always stay at the Columbine B&B on Third Street. All of the rooms have private baths and the breakfast is excellent.
