Ohana Hotel
My husband and I have a reservation to stay at the Ohana Waikiki Tower using our Entertainment Book discount. We recently read in Oahu Revealed that the rooms are fine but the showers are extremely small. Is this true? They didn't give such a great review for this property. Should we consider another?

It's definitely a budget hotel, but a decent one, renovated not too long ago. It is a standard shower, no tub.

The shower is adequate for one...even someone on the large size (like me!) :-)

You might check for an E-card rate as some of these other hotels that are a bit nicer and maybe in the same price range:
Ohana Islander Aston Waikiki Beach Aston Waikiki Beach Tower |
I have booked a room at the Ohana Keauhou Beach Resort for November 5 to 8 using the Entertainment Book at $125+tax per night for a deluxe oceanfront king room. Parking is $5 a day. I booked a couple months ago.

The Aston Waikiki Beach may be close to the same price range, but the Aston Waikiki beach tower is much more expensive! I am staying in both of the above hotels next week. There are some really good package deals out there right now, even if you don't book the air. You might want to take a look at these!

Look at Ohana website, they had many Waikiki promotions a while back, $99/nt was the most expensive. Ohana Islander Waikiki was recommended to me and I booked it at $99 but gave it up for Outrigger Luana at $115.
Good hunting... we leave tomorrow :) |
FYI
the folks at that Ohana told me that the hotel reconstruction and demolition of some of the Ohana hotel near lewers and Kalia Rd was delayed but will get started next year and will take 2yrs to complete |
