From Manchester, I assume you'd be going Rt. 101 East. Once you get to Hampton, NH, you can take the direct route (Rt. 95 North), or the scenic route (Route 1 North). Here's a link for restaurants in the seacoast area, http://www.seacoasteats.com/index.htm. I've heard great reviews from friends about The Old Salt in Hampton. For a place to stay in Ogunquit, we love the Anchorage By The Sea, it's motel on a bluff overlooking the water. I've never had an oceanview room, I've always stayed at their property across the street that has king beds, whirlpool tub (for 2), and gas fireplace. The main motel has a nice indoor pool and a large outdoor hot tub. It's also on the Marginal Way, which is a walkway along the bluff that you can walk to Perkin's Cove. Jonathan's in Ogunquit is a nice restaurant with good food. If you've never been to the area, I'd take the scenic route, it will probably take you an additional 45 minutes or so, but it's definitely worth it. If you change your mind, there are a few places where you can hop back on Rt. 95 as they run parallel. Also, 5-6pm is rush hour on Rt. 95. Have a great time!
