Ogunquit, Camden-Rockland B&B's

ok, finalizing the end of our NH, VT, Maine trip. Can anyone recommend great little B&B/Waterfront cottage setting middle range priced with great food selections for these areas? Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry, it's late - I meant Good Food Selections that aren't too pricey or pretentious - more intersted in Lobster Shacks - any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Most lobster shacks have shut down by Columbus Day but something might be open on weekends if the weather stays warm. Maybe foxslobster.com?

In Ogunquit check out Terrace By the Sea, near Camden Glenmoor By the Sea.

Apparently foliage may be early this year. So places might show no availability mid October due to leaf-peeper reservations, but you might then find cancellations if the foliage peaks late September.

Thank you for your help. Camden area sounds good. This stay mid-coast will be the end of our jouney Oct 15-17. We are starting out at Bar Harbor on Oct 7 and gonna do a loop through NH,VT and come back up the coast of Maine. All of our other stays are booked, just need to book something near Camden for the end. Worried we will miss peak but what can do you? Going for photography and a peaceful vacation. Thanks for the help.

Actually, peak occurs later waterside than in the mountains, though there are way fewer trees.

Check out the Lodge at Camden Hills and the Camden Harbor Inn. Both are terrific.

Camden is a year-round destination with magnificent dining all about.

Here's another HUGE recommendation for Terrace by the Sea in Ogunquit. We love that place!

In Ogunquit, go to the C of C website for hotels/inns/b&bs to see what is still open at that time. Room prices have already come down from season 'highs' so you should get a good bargin. Try Mike's Clam Shack or the Steakhouse(they have good seafood, too)in Wells, Rt. 1; Jackie's Too in Perkins Cove, Blue Star, or Wed./Thurs. specials at Poor Richard's in Ogunquit for decent food/good prices. You'll also be able to get some good sale bargains on items in the many shops.....enjoy!
