Shemp...yes to Creedance Clearwater Revival and Mamas and Papas, Judy Collins blah blah, and now such diverse group(s) as Moby, Andrea Bocelli, and Dixie Chicks! I've been struggling with Napster all day--my first day working with it--wondering why the heck I'm getting "transfer errors" 5 out of every 8 attempts at a download?

Went to school with both Buffy Ste. Marie and Taj Mahal, who dated a girl in my dorm. Am I telling my age? ? :>

Sting

(nods also to Cassandra Wilson, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Joni Mitchell, Shawn Colvin, Miles Davis, Annie Lennox, Dave Matthews Band, Billy Joel, Seal, Simon & Garfunkel, and my current favorite flavor, David Gray)

No, you're not telling your age!!! Okay, an offering of The Stones - The Who - never forget the debt we owe R&B from the 50's and the 60's (James, Richard, Jackie Wilson [Mr. Excitement], etc.) - Elvis - the great Dylan for his thoughts and style - and Elton for Rocket Man and Marilyn - and Jimi, for the best Star Spangled Banner ever. A for whoever penned "You Have To Fight For Your Right To Party." And to Don, for singing "American Pie" at 2:30 a.m. in B. on NYE. C
