There is also a small museum under the Jefferson Memorial. found it when I was looking for the restroom. They might need to label these things.

If you can't get a tour of the White House, the White House Visitor Center at the corner of 15th and E, has some great exhibits.

My daughter, my Dad, and I go to DC every May with my Mom, who is also stuck in meetings and doesn't want to miss the fun stuff. What we've done in the past is to make lists of what we want to see/do, show them to her, and she points out things that have little or no interest to her. Those are the things we see and do while she's in meetings.

The great thing about Washington, DC, is there is so much to see and do.........and the worst thing about Washington, DC, is there is SO much to see and do!! :)
