of these boston hotels which would you choose

Going to Boston with Dh for one night. we can get Jurys for 240 (love the location, room is nice but small) or The boston harbour for $250 including full breakfast (not as crazy about the location- love newbury street- never stayed here) or the Collonade for $179 (don't know much about this hotel). Which would you choose? Going to dinner in the north end, but love the back bay area> TIA

The Colonnade is a cool, European style hotel in between Back Bay and the South End. My favorite hotel is the Lenox. Did you try there?

They are all good choices but I would select the Boston Harbor Hotel - its a landmark in Boston and has fab public spaces. It is also walking distance to the North End - nice stroll along the waterfront after dinner is very romantic.

The Colonade are both nice and I understand wanting to be in the Back Bay but still...

The Boston Harbor Hotel is one of the nicest hotels in Boston and that's an incredible rate.Actually, I'm almost skeptical. Is that really for the Boston Harbor Hotel, where rooms usually go for about $500/night? I'd snag that in a second.

its true, the location isn't quite as convenient for shopping and such in the Back Bay. its a short walk to the North End though. (a COLD walk if you are coming in January though).

china cat, it IS the real boston harbor-- it's a travelzoo special. I know, it sounds too good to be true, but it IS a great rate.

If it is the Hotel I'm thinking of, right on the water near the aquarium(?), it is fabulous. I'd stay at the Boston Harbour any time. everything is a quick trolley ride away.

yep- that's the one.

I just booked it- thanks to you- it truly is usually in the 500s, so why not try it at this great price. the room will be twice the size of our room at jurys, and, as you said, we can walk to and from dinner. thanks !

take advantage of the new green belt as well as the seaside paths, I'm not sure if the Intercontinental still lights their seaside lanterns but it is cozy
