October travel

Wanted to do a roadtrip out west. Start in sanfrancisco and make our way to pa. Things we were going to do - redwoods, Vegas, zion, north rim Grand Canyon, havasupai - havasu falls. Our one constraint right now is there are no reservations at havasupai till the week of October 23. My question is what is the weather like in this area at that time of year? Would also like to hike some of the narrows.

North Rim lodging and food services close October 15th. It is open for day use until Dec.1 or until snow closes Highway 67. Limited facilities open in off season.

Don't miss Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches and Canyonlands on your way east.

Depending on what part of Colorado your travel through, it is possible to encounter snow on the mountain passes. By late Oct several of the ski areas will be open and it can be very chilly it not cold. Most of the time the weather will be great but you need to be prepared for winter conditions.
