October, Rain at Princeville?

We're going to Kauai October 25, 5 nights. We're deciding between Princeville Resort and Hyatt; we understand the North Shore is more beautiful but is rainy. Does anyone know whether October is a rainy time? Any recommendations? Thanks for help.

We specifically purchased our Princeville house _because_ of the rain -- which makes this north shore so lush and tropical.

Rain typically comes during the night and early-morning hours. Any daytime rain in October usually lasts for only a few minutes. And realize that the temperature will be near 80, so getting damp is just a temporary inconvenience.

It's the rain that blesses us with waterfalls, rainbows! :-)
