Oceanfront Condo/B&B In Kauai

My fiance and I are going to Kauai on our honeymoon in Sept. We're looking for a fantastic oceanfront condo, B&B or cottage on Poipu Beach. We'd like to spend $175/night or less. We need only 3 nights, as we're using my Marriott points for an oceanfront villa for the first 5 nights of our honeymoom. For the condo, we want an awesome ocean view, a lanai, etc. . . Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm looking for the same thing and I came across this website yesterday:
www.poipubeach.com

I'm planning to book the "Norfolk" on Monday.
In Sept we stayed at Whalers Cove. It's right on the ocean. We reserved through suite paradise and asked for building 1 so that our views of the ocean would not be interrupted by the pool. The only problem is that it will not meet your price requirement.

I did find this web site that offers a condo there for $195 which is much lower than most. http://www.mauikauai.com/wc_rates.htm

Alooohaaa...We drove by the Whaler's Cove at Suzie's suggestion this past Dec/Jan and would consider staying there if we were going to "do Poipu".

Did look like quite the views.
Plus, you're close by The Beach House.

Suuuz...raining on your side of town?
221 more days until 80 degree rain!
Kal

Kal,
Pouring! Helps keep th pollen down though so can't complain. Would turn on the heat but since that's coming for free very soon, I'll just pull out the old sweatshirt. Do tell about the Grand after your stay. Would love a trip report.

My fiance and I are staying at Gloria's Spouting Horn Bed and Breakfast for our honeymoon in August (located in Poipu). Check out www.gloriasbedandbreakfast.com. It costs more than what you are looking for but I think worth it. Queen size four-poster beds with a complete wall of windows/lanai facing the ocean (only few feet away). Complete breakfast and afternoon open bar/appetizers. There's only 3 bedrooms so act fast if you're interested. It's $250 a night.

You might try the Lawai Beach Resort. We stayed there in November 2001 and it was nice. You will have to look it up on the internet as we booked through an agency. It was about $150 per night.
