Ocean City, MD: really good dining?
When we were in OC half a dozen years ago or so, the only restaurant we found that we thought was first rate was Galaxy. Does anyone know if it's still there-- and whether the quality/management is the same? Are there any other restaurants that have opened that are very good? We'll be in a condo for a week in August and last time we had to run up to Rehoboth or to Sedona in Bethany when we wanted a change from Galaxy. Would love to learn that there are more good restaurants. Thank you.

The Galaxy is still there and they have added in addition to it in recent years. My favorite place to dine is Fagers Island, but make sure you go to their fine dining side as they also have lite fare. The Hobbit is excellent as well. You could also try Harrison's Harborwatch on the inlet.

My favorite is the Hobbit. I think their crabcakes are the best on OC.

I recommend the Marlin Moon Grille which is in the Francis Scott Key Motel. It's on the right before you go over the 50th St. bridge into OC.
Also recommend the Sunset Grille in West Ocean City. It's located on the water. |
we were wondering if anyone knows of a rest. called "Bull on the Beach", or " Tequita Mockingbied Mexican bar and grill" and what they think of them? Thanks for any help! :-)

Another vote for the Hobbit.

Which street is the Hobbit on? any other inof you could give would be great, like is it all sea food, dressy... anything. Thanks!

Hobbit is on 81st on the bay. It is somewhat upscale, but nothing in OC is very dressy. It is mainly seafood but they have a wonderful filet.

Bull on the Beach is great casual dining - excellent roast beef - 94th Street.
Another good nice restaurant is Sunset Grille - West Ocean City - on the water. Great food and atmosphere |
