Ocean City in September
My girlfriends and I are planning a trip to
Ocean City Maryland the week after Labor Day.
Some of them are not sure if the weather is
going to be nice and sunny. Would like to know what to expect. Are most of the shops
still open????

It will undoubtedly be just like it was a week or two before Labor Day. But there is a slight chance that it could be cooler. Most of us love it there in Sept - a lot of the crowd has left for the season. The shops are open, the beach is generally warm and a fair amount of people will be joining you.

I feel that the weather automatically and almost miraculously changes right at Labor Day on the east coast. Don't you feel that yourself? Sure you get warm spots later but it never compares with the stretches of days in August.

My husband & I go to OC MD every Sept. this year in fact we will be there the same week...we have found the nights to be a little cooler but the days are still wonderful and not so crowded with vactioners...mostly locals..we've been going to OC for so many years it's like our 2nd home!! Have a great time!!

Beth,

The week after Labor Day all the shops will still be open, and there will still be some crowds, but all the school children and college kids will be gone, so it will be a great time for you and your friends to visit. The weather is usually perfect that week. It can range from very hot and sultry to warm, with cooler nights. Most of the hotel pools are still open, and you will see many people swimming in the ocean. Enjoy!
