Ocean City-Good and Bad Restaurants

Looking for suggestions on restaurants and other food places that you liked and disliked. I'm going next week. Thanks.

My mother prefers Windows on the Bay, Harpoon Hannah's, Reflections and Nantuckets.

Not gourmet, but my family always returns to Big Peckers, and the Green Turtle (I'm not sure why we keep going back to the Turtle to be honest) and the pink restaurant (It has a name but I cant remember it-i think the word skillet is in the name). there is a great BBQ take out place in Bethany Beach (and off the beaten path) called Bootsies. They also have a little farm market so you can get fruit and veggies to go with your ribs and chicken.

Was the OP about NJ or MD????

New Jersey, not MD. Sorry

I asked because I go to NJ every year.

Katina's(or Katrina's, i forget which) has great Greek food in downtown OC on 9th street. Cousin's in the North end of the island has great Italian and American. Brown's Donuts on the boardwalk near the north lifeguard station is great for any breakfast food, especially, obviously, their fresh donuts.

Also, near what street intersection are you staying? I want to know so I can give you more suggestions for where you are.

I'm staying at the Beach Club Hotel, which I believe is on the Boardwalk near 12th or 13th. Would prefer restaurants within walking distance, but will drive for bagels, pizza, Italian, etc. Thanks.

Your location is good since you are in the stretch where the main part of the boardwalk is. Angelo's pizza is very good; they have 2 locations on the boardwalk. Carousel Ice Cream has great sundaes and milkshakes; it is at 4th street and Atlantic Avenue. A must in Ocean City is Kohr's Frozen Custard, which had about 4 or 5 locations on the boardwalk.

Depending on if you drink alcohol, you should remember that OC is a dry town.

Periwinkle's is great! BYOB

The Green Grill is also great for breakfast or lunch -- it is away from the boardwalk somewhat.

There is a great fish store that we always order take-out shore dinners from -- I forget the name, but it is very close to the Super Fresh supermarket.

try Dr Unks on STeven Decautor road. right near the water tower.Take 50 heading west, turn left on SD rd and about two miles on the left you will see the water tower, Unks is in the little shopping center. Really cute bar dining area.

The food is great, and many nights there they have muscians come in and play while the diners eat.

There are also a lot of resturants a little father down off of Steven Decatour Rd follow the road to the docks, and take your pick. They all offer something unusual, some have keroke, some have a bands, some have fine dining. Lots of atmosphere and not overly expensive food.
