Oahu vacations

Hello, we were 4 of us from Spain. We are going to stay in Oahu for 5 days and we need acommodation. We prefer a cottage or a b&b but we donīt know which area of Oahu is the best to stay. We like nature, treking and wild beach.
What places do you recommend us to visit?
Thanks

It sounds like you want to stay outside of Waikiki. For beachside, you could look into Beach Lane in Kailua (www.beachlane.com). More hiking (but farther from a beach) you could look into the Manoa Valley Inn (www.manoavalleyinn.com).

The largest collection of hotels on Oahu is in the Waikiki/Honolulu area. But from what you describe, you will want to look elsewhere on the island.

If you plan to rent a car, then you can stay anywhere. If you do not plan to rent a car, then stay somewhere in Waikiki as almost all of the public transportation, tours, etc is better from there.

Lots of info:

karameli,
Beachlane looks interesting. Have you stayed there? Thanks.

I wish! We did contact them in advance of our trip, but chickened out and went with Waikiki for convenience's sake. However the owner seemed very polite and friendly, and responded promptly. I wish I could give you a firsthand experience, but perhaps someone else on the board has stayed there, or you could check tripadvisor.com? ((R))
