sharona~~ That's what I was thinking after I posted my initial three suggestions. I had not actually priced them, just suggested what are commonly considered the three nicest hotels on Waikiki. When I went to look at rates at the Outrigger hotels I see how pricey things are!

suze, yes, tell me about how expensive Waikiki hotels are, especially when you need 3 rooms! We liked the Halekulani but it was expensive and the room was tiny. We had trouble finding space to store our luggage. I wouldn't stay there again. We are very easy hotel guests -- not demanding, overlook the little things, etc., but for the price they charge we didn't think service was very good even for basic services. I just wanted to give vincenzo a heads up on the Halekulani that unless he can find a deal he probably can't get it for his budget. The add-ons to a room, e.g., taxes, service charges and resort fee, add about $100/night.

Check out the HHV, Ali Tower. Very nice hotel, best pillows I have ever slept on and is right on the end of the strip in Waikiki. Also, nice beachfront in front of hotel.
Have stayed at the Halekulani and it is very nice, but small beach infront of this hotel. |
$150/night is my personal max. That's the area I'm an "expert" -lol!
