Oahu hotel for one night
Coming in from east coast at 10:30pm. Flying out to Kauai next day (have not booked that flight; will probably stay in Oahu until lunchtime as check-in in Kauai isn't until 3pm). Need reasonably priced, yet nice property to stay for that one night. Also, a shuttle to/from airport would be a nice bonus.

If you have no preference, I would probably try priceline for a room. Go to biddingfortravel.com to see a list of the hotels that come up and for strategy.
As far as I know, no hotels have free shuttles but I could be wrong. There is a shuttle service that, as of this May, was $13pp. A cab is, I believe, $28 or so to the Waikiki hotels. |
Agree with the above suggestion to use priceline for a Waikiki hotel. There aren't any nice hotels by the airport. No hotels in Waikiki provide complimentary airport transfers that I know of. The Waikiki Airport Express costs $8pp one way or $13pp roundtrip but you may have to wait a little while for the bus to fill up and of course drop off other passengers depending on where your hotel is located on the route.

Check www.biddingfortravel.com to see what you can get on Oahu. You have a good chance at getting a 3 star hotel for $50 for the night.
As for the shuttle, there are stands with discount coupons for shuttles at the airport. Check those out. |

I used biddingfortravel.com and received the Sheraton Waikiki for $99/night on priceline. Right on waikiki beach and close to everything. Not a bad way to go...
