According to this site:<BR>http://store.yahoo.com/firezone/info.html<BR>there are official FDNY stores located at:<BR>34 W 51st Street (between 5th & 6th Avenues) in Rockefeller Center<BR>and<BR>1000 3rd Avenue <BR>Ground Floor of Bloomingdales<BR><BR>This is the official FDNY licensed store linked from the FDNY website (http://www.nyc.gov/html/fdny/html/home2.html). Store link (FDNY Fire Zone) is at the bottom of the page.

Most street vendors sell NYPD and FDNY stuff.

the street vendors are selling illegal knock-offs for the most part and the money doesn't go to help the fdny, nypd, or 9/11 victims.

I bought a Rolex for $20 from one of the NYC street vendors. Do you think its a knock-off? BTW - its still ticking and giving accurate time 1 year later!!!
