It's an $8 toll back from White Plains and you have to pay to park, on the other hand it is a quiet and uncrowded set of shopping complexes. The drive is approx 40 minutes, dependent on traffic of course.

Hi cherrybomb! - Why not take the Willis Ave Bridge and the 3rd Ave Bridge back? - both free - that's what we do all the time.

cherrybomb Nov 19th, 2008 07:40 AM

Hi CPG! True that is a route, the pay to park annoys me though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And why do people just hang out on the club chairs at that mall? not kids, but adults, it's weird!

There is a Target in the Bronx...

Riverdale
40 W 225th St #50
Bronx, NY 10463

I see it every time I take the #1 train to the Bronx.

I suggest

Costco
32-50 Vernon Boulevard
Long Island, New York
11106

Target
Atlantic Terminal
139 Flatbush Ave
Brooklyn, NY 11217
(718) 290-1109

though the above stores are not in Manhattan, They are easily reached by NYC Public Transport. You can find public transport directions in New York by Google Transit or Publicroutes.com

cb - I don't know - I don't think I've ever been to the mall. dh works in Westchester and I'll go to Stew Leonard's, Botanic Gardens, Arthur Avenue, etc. occasionally.

They are easily reached by NYC Public Transport

and how would you carry your packages (for ex., 12 rolls of paper towels) back to the apartment?

gb944 Nov 19th, 2008 09:26 AM

12 rolls of paper towels might fill up an NYC apartment!

nstevey Nov 19th, 2008 10:24 AM

OK, this I have experience with. I've bought 18 paper towels and 36 or 48 toilet papers. It fits. You find ways.

It fits. You find ways.

I'll bet you didn't carry them from Brooklyn LOL!

sf7307 Nov 19th, 2008 12:46 PM
