NYC Xmas Window Displays
 

I would really appreciate advice on where to start checking out the department store windows so I can map everything out so we have a plan and can cover as much ground as possible. Your expert opinions helped us enjoy our NYC Xmas trip last year so much that we are doing it again this year!

I think that Lord & Taylors always has the best. 5th Ave and 39th Street.

Macy's has decent windows. Go inside the store and up to Santaland to see Santa.

Start at Lord & Taylor and walk north up Fifth Avenue to 57th and then east. The two best windows IMHO - besides L&T are Saks (opp Rock Center) and Bloomies (Lex from 59/60) but you'll see something nifty on almost every block. Be sure to get a hot pretzel (you eat it with mustard) or some chestnuts to keep up your strength.

My picks (and you can do them in this order walking) are usually Lord & Taylor, Saks, Bergdorf Goodman, Barney's (61 st & Madison). So by starting at 39th & Fifth and walking up Fifth to Bergdorf's and then across to Madison and up a few blocks, you'll also see lots of other places like Tiffany, Bendels etc. From Barney's you can head over to Bloomies for a peek too :')
