NYC with 4 kids- need advice
Headed to NYC with 4 kids- 16,15,13 and 9 (girl and 3 boys). Broadway show advice-- They have seen Lion King. Perhaps Mary Poppins? Is Wicked too much for a 9 yr old boy?
Also- want to stay in nice hotel near things- not in the heart of Times Square but perhaps CPS. What are some ideas about what to do? Thanks. |
lion king would be great. I have not seen mary poppins but reviews seem less than steller.
lots to do- central park zoo, go to rock center and go to the Top of the rock observation deck, |
As I said, they have seen Lion King.
-Top of the Rock sounds good. Where do they go in? and how much is it? -They've gone to a lot of zoos. -is the nbc tour good? -what about hitting the statue of liberty? -is there anything going on at yankee stadium in july? keep giving me advice. thanks. |
Take them to Spamalot. You can probably get half-price tickets.

-is there anything going on at yankee stadium in july?
Depending on your dates, the Yankees may be home. Get tickets asap as they may sell out. Or just do a tour of Yankee Stadium. The All-Star game is there in July (already sold out) so hopefully those aren't your dates. Would definitely recommend the Museum of Natural History. |
I think that Ellis Island is more interesting than Staten Island as a destination. If you are looking for harbor views Staten Island ferry is best.
Lower East Side tenement museum is also fascinating--first museum our younger son was known to enjoy (@ age 10) Also agree with Museum of Natural History |
So, ideas as to where to stay- want nice but not super super expensive. Somewhere along CPS or thereabouts.
Thanks for the ideas so far. |
