Hawaiian Views in Oahu

Me and my partner are traveling to Hawaii, sometime this year. I am curious to know where are some of the best views on the Island. We will be staying on Oahu. I have never been to Hawaii and want to see some beautiful views, we are not opposed to hiking at all. I think we would prefer it to get away from people and town. I want to see some water falls and definitely the ocean. Where are the best places to go?

You can hardly avoid beautiful views! You certainly won't have to look far. You might pick up a copy of this guidebook http://www.amazon.com/Driving-Discov...ive+guide+oahu
Which has stunning photos and tells you how to get to the spot where each was taken.

One favorite of mine is to drive up the east side of the island, around Hanauma Bay, SAndy Beach, and Makapu'u point overlook.

Here are a few photos of mine from the island http://www.worldisround.com/articles/376623/index.html

You might also consider traveling from Honolulu over to Windward and Kaneohe via the Pali Highway which offers stunning views. The drive around the island from Makapu'u (great beach IMO) over to Kailua will offer plenty of ocean views as well.

Hike up Diamond Head offers outstanding views as well and it is a really good walk. Agree about renting a car for a day and getting to the other side of the island is worth the drive.
