NYC water taxi/near half-price booth?

I'm planning a trip for June. One thing we want to do is spend some time in Brooklyn, and we are considering taking the water taxi over then walking back to Manhattan later. My question: is the water taxi entrance near the second location to purchase half price tickets to Broadway shows? (I think I read "South Seaport" in information on both places, but now I can't remember.)
I've read on these posts that it's not worth the subway ride to the second location for tickets, but if we're in the neighborhood anyway, I thought it'd be worth it.

Question #2: what are the chances of finding Chicago tickets at the half price booth?
Thanks to everyone in advance for any information!

I haven't taken the water taxi in several months, but its pier used to be just south of the South Street Seaport and, yes, the TKTS booth. Maybe 100 yards south?

Yes, you can do a stop near South Street Seaport and doing the TKTS, then going on to Fulton Landing in Brooklyn. You do know that the wonderful Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory is like 10 steps from the water taxi landing there? Some people actually walk right by -- what a shame. Also Grimaldi's Pizza is on the walk to the entrance of the Brooklyn Bridge for walking back across.

If you go up the huge hill from the right after crossing the East River and eating your ice cream, you can find the Brooklyn Heights promenade entrance. It has fantastic views of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge.

How about (almost) half price Chicago tickets online?
It expires before June, but will probably be constantly updated.
