NYC trip/Restaurant Suggestions

We(myself, husband, 18 yr. old son, 20 yr. old daugher)will be in NYC this coming weekend. We're staying at the Marriott Times Square. It's my son's first time in NYC and he wanted to stay in the middle of all the action. We're pretty open to most types of cuisine. As open as you can get an 18 year old to be. Any restaurant suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Here's our itinerary:

Thurs. night- Avenue Q tickets
Just something quick after the show.

Friday night-we have tickets for Blue Man Group at 10pm.

Sat. night-My daughter's college choir is performing with the Brooklyn Philharmonic. Does anyone have any suggestions for a restaurant near BAM Opera House?

Hope I've given you enough information.

Thank you.

Sounds like a fun trip. There's a lot of info in this forum on Manhattan (especially midtown) restaurants, so I'll make this suggestion for Brooklyn: Brawta, a fantastic Caribbean place about 10 blocks from BAM. It's not much on atmosphere but the food is amazing -- the kind of meal you think about for weeks after (well, I do, anyway).

BAM also has a cafe but I've never been there. Their web site lists some other restaurants in the area (including Brawta) in the Neighborhood Info section.

Brooklyn Restaurant Week takes place from 4/11 - 4/20 - 3 courses for $19.55. BAM is in Fort Greene; Thomas Beisl A Viennese Bistro is right across the street.

Hope that helps,

After Avenue Q? These are all inexpensive and quick for after the show -- and all within a block of the Marquis.

Blue cheese hamburgers or other choices at JR's, on 46th just east off 8th, basically behind the Marquis.
John's Pizza in a old church on 44th just east of 8th.
Virgil's Real BarBQ, on 44th just east of Time's Square.
Ollie's Noodle House-- 44th just west of Times Square.

Thanks to everyone for the quick responses. I'll check out the websites you've suggested. And we will have to try one of Patrick's suggestion for after Avenue Q.
