NYC Theater - Spring Awakening
The reviews look good for this new musical. Has anyone seen it yet?
My son's college and apartment roommate's stepsister has a supporting role in the play - she plays "Anna". I'm curious to hear feedback on the play. |
Well the reviews make it sound like this is THE play (perhaps along with Grey Gardens) of the season. I'm anxious to see in in early February.

Ben Brantley, the New York Times theater critic, included it in his list of ten besr of 2007: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/24/th...ml?ref=theater

My wife and I saw it last weekend. It was good, she enjoyed it very much (I'm not big on plays, but I liked it as well).
Note that it deals with mature subjects and has nudity, but the music is good and the cast is fantastic. We got the "cheap" seats, $30 and you get to sit on stage while the show is going on around you. |
