NYC subway help please!
Can anyone tell me what subway to take to get to Century 21? Heading there Wednesday and trying to get organized! Thanks, Jane

Here's a link to the MTA website, where you'll find very helpful subway maps:
http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/ If you're heading to the Manhattan Century 21, it's across from the World Trade Center site at the south end of Manhattan. Your best subway option will depend on your origin, of course. |
It of course depends on where you're coming from, but the 4/5 (Fulton Street stop) is the easiest.
|
the N / R train stops right in front of the store...Cortlandt St. station
|
Almost all of the Manhattan subway lines stop near there, except for the F/V and J/M/Z. The N/R may be the closest (Cortlandt St).
|
If coming from the east side take the #4 or #5 and get off at Fulton Street. If coming from the west side the N or R to Cortland Street or the #2 or #3 to Fulton Street. Indicate your starting point and specific directions can be provided.
|
The N/R no longer stops at Cortland St. since it was under the WTC.
|
The MTA map shows the Cortland St station for the N and R, which was not under the WTC, is open. It is closed on the #1 and #9 line which was under the WTC. See http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/submap.htm

So sorry, should have given better specifics but I'm not really sure when I'll be going to Century 21, so I could be starting from many different locations. However, this info helps me no matter where I may be traveling from. Thanks so much everybody! I love the site for subway info also! Jane

Many trains will take you within two blocks at most from Century 21.
N/R let you out in front of the store. 4/5 are a short block east. E train is a block nort. 2/3 and A are a couple of blocks north. |
