NYC Soup Kitchen International--When does it open?
 

The web site says it hasn't re-opened yet. Is this correct? What months is it usually open?

It is usually closed in the summer months. Did you call?

I just called. There was no answer, just a recording that there was no room on the machine to leave a message.

I saw a post on Tripadvisor that said he did not open this winter and is in the process of making it a chain, or so this poster said. Anyway, it is usually only open in the Winter months.

The concierge at our hotel said that he never re-opened in the fall, and is reported to be in Albania!

I hope he discontinued the lima bean. Not a fan, you know.

I heard discussion on an allnight radio show (Joey Reynolds?) about this place, I think: is this the Seinfeld "Soup Nazi"?

If so, they were saying it was closed and that allegedly the owner is working on franchising the concept.

It was closed the week before last. Bars over the front and everything.
