NYC short term Apt./Suite Hotel
Does anyone have a recommenation for short term (less than a week) apartment rental service or suites hotel in New York City?
Affina suite hotels seem to get a lot of positives. Do a search above for NYC suites.
I know of FlatHotel at the high end of the scale, and Radio City apartments at the lower end.
Here's the place I rented a studio from in June: http://www.metro-home.com/. We stayed for 8 nights but I believe they will do shorter stays (maybe a 3 night minium??). The studio on Bleeker street worked out great for us and we hope to stay again one day.

There seem to be more and more suite hotels. Affiniahotels.com (already mentioned) has about 7 different ones. Others are Murray Hill Suites, the Salisbury, the San Carlos, the Kimberly, the Beacon.
There is also the Blakely, the Helmsley Carlton, and The Lombardy. And the Carnegie Suites and the Buckingham, too. And not to forget the Whindham.
In the Upper West, the Beacon, the Lucerne, among others. |
If you're looking for adventure, try the historic Chelsea Hotel. My wife and I had a fantastic time there and it wasn't too expensive.
Sorry, the Whyndham!
Surlok I think you mean the Wyndham :) but didn't remember they have kitchens? Also didn't know the Blakely and the Helmsley Carlton did. I was assuming this poster wants that.
The Blakely, that I'm aware of, has just kitchinettes, and the Whyndham, cold pantries, only.
The Helmsley Carlton, however, has full kitchens, Mclaurie. |
I've never stayed there but hospitalityco.com offers apt. accomodations for less than 1 week. Can anyone else comment who has actually used this company?
The best is the Kimberly for price, location and what you get. Its really a niced sized unit, most are 1 bd...though some 1bd exec (bigger) and some 2 bd. Bedroom config is either 1 king or 2 queens, livingroom (w/pullout sofa), combined dining area and kitchen with full sized fridg, stove, and basic equipment. You also have an iron/ironing board, safe and array of toiletries, also a balcony. Great place.
Thank you for all your info. Something else I have found is the Affinia 50, formerly Plaza 50, recently completely renovated, next to Kimberly.
It should be good. Passed by recently and looked nice.
